It’s summer. I’m trying to keep myself doing art every day. So far, it’s going very well. I’m happy to do the work. I’m just letting myself draw whatever I want.

Putting in the milage. That’s what I’m doing right now. I may not love the things I’ve done when I’m finished. But, at least I finished.

I did this digital study of Benedict Cumberbatch yesterday for fun. From this reference.

I’ve been using Photoshop for years and years, but I hadn’t really started painting like this in it. I’d told myself that I wouldn’t do any studies like this until I had done a successful acrylic painting of a face.

I debated putting this up here because it’s not school work. But, if I’m hoping to use this blog as a timeline of my work then I absolutely need to post this.

Seriously though… What the heck happened?

Was it a combination of the time constraints on the end of the trimester? Was I fueled by frustration?
